The suffix S is often used to form the plural of english nouns and the singular of english verbs but this suffix is much more versatile. It introduces many completely different concepts like the suits in a pack of cards; club: clubs; a number of diseases; shingle: shingles;it even changes plural nouns; people: peoples; or the parts of speech of words; more: mores.
