Huxley, Aldous
Aldous Leonard Huxley nasceu em 26 de julho de 1894 no condado de Surrey, na Inglaterra. Pertencente a uma família de tradicionais intelectuais ingleses, estudou medicina e literatura inglesa. Viveu na Itália durante o regime fascista de Mussolini, período que viria a exercer influência sobre seus livros, e anos depois mudou-se para Hollywood a fim de trabalhar como roteirista. Em 1932, publicou "Admirável mundo novo" e, em 1954, narrou suas experiências com mescalina em "As portas da percepção", livros fundamentais para a cultura e as artes. Huxley morreu nos EUA em 22 de novembro de 1963. |
