PAPER VOICES is a series of books of poems that I hope can help calm a mind to quiet while taking thoughts to places feared to travel. I've written these books from different moments in my emotions. I've had my days of mood swing and those days gave different writing emotions. At times we might have feelings we can't explain to others to their full understanding but to the paper we can say anything, pour our hearts out without fear of criticism. We can express and speak with our pen and paper to the world without fear of not being understood. This way, we speak louder than yelling, using a quiet voice. And once we know exactly what we want others to know, we have unlimited ears. We can give advice without fear of unwanted and seek advice without fear of being judged. We can express our emotions and escape into worlds unknown. Poetry has it all covered and in our escape, though momentary, we also can find calm. PROTECT MY ENEMY ********************* Father I cannot walk in your footprints or in your shoes You footprints are heavy... your steps... are so blessed **** I can walk in the path that you paved for me though I know my blessings are many... the journey will teach the rest **** While I walk... I pray that you protect my family and me Protect my friends my relatives... and even my enemies **** Bless their lives... their bodies...and their minds Teach them how to love... and always to be kind **** Those who see me as an enemy... if they feel protected They'll have comfort in you... and won't feel as neglected **** As they are all a part of me and will affect my journey Their unhappiness will affect them... but it will...also me **** The peace I seek... as always Father Is in your hand Lift me high above any trouble... make sure that I stand **** I seek a clear path to follow... if I fall...a place to land But can't be given by another... especially...not a man **** Though I know the bumps are a part of the ride Show the potholes to step around ...also those ones that tries to hide You said it's your job to guide and protect me And in this life still I struggle to see **** So Father... **** I'm only asking you to do the job you said you will I will always be your servant... which I do of free will AMEN...AMEN ******
