SEARCH THE WORD STUDY MANUAL II The purpose for preparing these STUDY MANUALS is to motivate God's people to become interested in His word, by spending time searching the Scriptures in order to have a deeper relationship with Him. Sometimes people attend a church for years, but still do not know what they believe. In fact, there are people who cannot give even a reasonable description of why Jesus came to earth other than He died on the Cross. Most only attend church because their parents belonged to that particular assembly, but they themselves do not know what they believe. We will also find people who only attend on special occasions such as weddings, funerals, Easter, and Christmas. Another group believes that living a good life, will take them to heaven and only bad people go to hell. Others believe that death is the end of all things, and there is no heaven or hell. The Scriptures show that it goes much deeper than mere understanding that God is real, and that one will either go to heaven or hell. The truth is that each person must have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ to talk about Him or even to love Him. It is through knowing Jesus that we will be able to know God. Therefore, the study of God's word is vital to the life of every believer since it is from His word we learn about Him. Each person must spend quality time to study and learn about the Christian faith and what it entails. It is not enough just to attend church; the individual must seek to have an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and this comes only through His word and the indwelling Holy Spirit. God's word is the expression of His character. It reveals His love towards mankind, and His concern for our welfare. SEARCH THE WORD STUDY MANUAL, Volume I is a collection of messages and themes given through the Holy Spirit, which Dr. Stuart shares with her readers. SEARCH THE WORD STUDY MANUAL VOLUME II is continuation from Volume I. In this issue there are topics such as Who is God? The Mystery of God, The Creation, The Life of Jesus Christ, Spiritual Warfare, The Christians Faith, Managing Church Conflicts, and much more. Dr. Stuart prepared these manuals for the Adult Sunday Bible Study class, which she teaches at Hope Redemption Worship Center Inc., Georgia, where Rev. Winston L. Blair is Pastor.
