STEPHEN KING nasceu em Portland, no Maine, em 1947. Em 1974, publicou Carrie, seu livro de estreia, que logo se tornou um clássico contemporâneo. Já escreveu mais de setenta best-sellers mundiais, como Depois, O Iluminado, It: A coisa, Misery e À espera de um milagre. Em 2003, recebeu a medalha de Eminente Contribuição às Letras Americanas da National Book Foundation e, em 2007, foi nomeado Grão-mestre dos Escritores de Mistério dos Estados Unidos. Ele mora em Bangor, no Maine, com a esposa, a escritora Tabitha King. |
