Tag Murdoch, wrestles with what his role is when he sees another student bullied by his teammate, Vince Rhodes. To complicate matters, Vince is the high school's star quarterback - the necessary ingredient to win an upcoming championship game. A charge of bullying will suspend him from the team at a crucial moment... making Tag the object of anger and hatred. Faced with contradicting viewpoints from friends, parents and teachers, Tag struggles with these issues: Is it my role to do anything? And if so, what's the right thing to do? When Tag finally figures out what to do, his situation is further complicated with now letting down his friends, school and community by doing the right thing.
