Alex Kershaw é autor best-seller do New York Times e escreve obras sobre a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Nascido em York, na Inglaterra, formou-se na Universidade de Oxford e mora nos Estados Unidos desde 1994. Kershaw é amplamente aclamado por seus artigos e livros, recebendo diversos prêmios por suas publicações. Atua como jornalista há mais de trinta anos, escrevendo para diversos veículos de comunicação como The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, AARP Magazine e The Guardian.
