This is the story of Tonia Esqurit Ailbe, a highly intelligent mathematics professor, who has always wanted her own home to be a vibrant social centre. The opposite, alas, proves to be the case. And in another one of her strokes of genius Tonia realises that she can create this vibrant social centre in the reflection of her mirror, staring at herself there in her dressing-table mirror, her perfect Paradise, herself mixing with those desired others. She even has a basket full of sundry clothing nearby with which the better to aid her imaginings. But is Tonia really going crazy? It certainly looks that way.
