The Evil Eye - the most feared and dreaded of occult forces. Siri finds herself all alone in the dreary old house, but soon discovers she has other company. Who or what is the Phantom of Winter Island? Is it Siri's blind and crippled host out for revenge? Is it the stalking creature that hunts Siri through the old, dark house? Or is it a crawling white mist? Siri doesn't know who to trust as she searches the creepy old mansion for clues. She isn't one to give up the chase, not when it means finding her best friend. Strange incense, secret passages, and things that go bump in the night make Siri wish she never heard of Winter Island. If only she had stayed home, then she wouldn't be running crazily through an underground labyrinth with something really scary chasing her. Yes, the Evil Eye can ruin a girl's night out - a night that began on an ancient, cobblestone lane called Wicks End.
